Winbond identified “Social Welfare and Environmental Protection” as one of its three major social welfare strategies. The company responded to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through concrete actions, actively promoting biodiversity conservation, environmental education, community engagement, and public facility adoption programs. In addition to collaborating with the Society of Wilderness on wetland restoration and beach cleanup activities, Winbond also adopted a section of the Houfeng Bikeway in Taichung, where it regularly cleaned the road and trimmed branches to maintain the cleanliness and safety of public spaces.

Fazi River: Family Learning, from Awareness to Protection

At the Fazi River in Taichung, Winbond organized a parent-child river cleanup event. Through professional guidance, participants learned about waste classification and how to record data using the International Coastal Cleanup (ICC) form. The activity helped participants take the first step toward protecting nature by starting with environmental awareness. Employees and their families joined together, embedding environmental education at the grassroots level and extending sustainability values into households. As part of Winbond’s “Social Welfare and Environmental Protection” strategy, more than 210 participants across Taiwan joined various environmental conservation initiatives in 2024, demonstrating enhanced corporate social responsibility and environmental awareness among employees.
